Paul Gregory


Paul is an experienced local government representative having served three successive terms as a Councillor on the Cairns Regional Council. In addition, Paul has extensive experience as a director across a broad range of sectors and industries including primary industry, aged care, health and the environment.

Through this experience, Paul has developed core skills in governance and understanding the operation of large organisations including budgets, risk management, capital project management, and stakeholder accountability. Paul has excellent communication and is able to build rewarding and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Paul has operated and expanded the family’s cane farming business over the last three decades, and has a clear understanding of contractual and pricing arrangements in this industry. Paul is aware of developing industry trends and seeks to explore opportunities for sugar cane products in the future.

During his time as Division 1 Councillor with Cairns Regional Council, Paul assisted in Cyclone Recovery efforts after both Cyclone Larry and Cyclone Yasi. For this work in 2006, Paul was awarded the Prime Minister’s and Premier’s Certificate of Special Commendation for Outstanding Leadership.

Paul has previously practiced as a Qualified Survey Technician, and continues to operate and expand the family cane farming business near Gordonvale.

Paul will be providing advice and recommendations to corporate and private clients in regard to site considerations, approvals management processes and strategic and growth opportunities in regard to development potential.
