Josh joined Gilvear Planning in early 2019 having previously worked for both State and Local Government. Josh has extensive experience in development assessment, regulatory compliance, and incident management.
In his current role, Josh provides Town Planning and Project Management advice to a broad range of clients in multiple sectors, particularly to the resource and quarrying sector. Josh works openly and collaboratively with a number of specialists including engineers, surveyors, and designers.
In his time with Gilvear Planning, Josh has successfully delivered a number of small and large projects, providing support from the start, through the design and approvals stages and to construction. Josh is a hands-on Planner who prefers to approach a project from the perspective of a ‘we’ and not a ‘you’.
Josh is a highly qualified town planner with additional credentials in Business, Environmental Management, Workplace Health and Safety and Horticultural Business Management.
In addition to working for Gilvear Planning, Josh is also heavily involved in the Exotic Tropical Fruit Industry where he owns and operates his own farm and represents the Industry on a number of consultative committees.
In early 2021, Josh was awarded a prestigious Nuffield Scholarship where he will travel internationally to study resilient horticultural practices in the age of unknown weather. As a Nuffield Scholar, Josh, along with a small group of fellow Scholars, will represent Australian Agriculture on a global level.
